Doutta Galla has been part of the Avondale Heights community since 2004. We have fostered local connections to create a strong sense of belonging for both residents and staff in our aged care residence.

We have a home-like atmosphere where relatives and friends can enjoy time with their loved ones. We welcome local community and service groups and we embrace all cultures and religions with special menus, events and festivities. Many residents and staff were born overseas and as a group we speak over fifteen languages. Our residence thrives as a busy and diverse community.
Lifestyle and social activities are an important part of maintaining health and wellbeing at our aged care residence in Avondale Heights. We offer daily social group activities in our sunny living areas, where our residents develop and grow friendships, and have the opportunity to learn and nurture new skills.
We run a weekly Italian social group and for those who like to paint, saw, sand and potter, Avondale Heights has its own men’s activity program.

Doutta Galla Avondale Heights is a 108 room residence, accommodating single residents as well as couples. All rooms have private ensuite bathrooms. The residence offers a mix of care options, including permanent and respite care. We offer a secure dementia support unit with dedicated, qualified staff and dementia specific programs.
The residence includes communal courtyards, a sensory garden, and a purpose built men’s activity area with BBQ facilities. Doutta Galla Avondale Heights is a home for people who value their independence and quality of life, knowing that comprehensive care is available when they need it.
